Ornella Ridone has interwoven the lives of different people by joining amputated garments and she has done so on a single surface where that which is individual is fused together for the sake of the collective. The colors of the flag are a reference and an excuse to symbolize with red, the blood of Mexico and all nations that have originated from acts of violence and through a chauvinist, obscure and monetary perspective. White represents the current phase of the country, a period of denunciation and awareness that is characterized by the manifestation of truths. Green evokes rebirth – it´s the organic increase of solidarity, friendships and compassion as fundamental values that need to be created once again.
